Ukrainian troops on the front line ready to rumble.
About one third of the guys looked/acted very stressed. This was my first experience really close to combat troops. I realized later I need to speak to every one of them to ask about their life, what they did before, pets, normal stuff so they have a break mentally and also try to joke. Some of these guys really looked exhausted, some scared, and a few content, confident and ok. They were getting bombed daily and spetsnaz trying nightly to get across the lake to them....we had to take narrow back roads and single tracks through the forests to get to this town and then we still walked under trees or met inside buildings because the Russians are constantly running drones over and bombing. If these guys get heavy equipment lots of it and more quickly they will finish this sooner and stop the bombing/killing from the Russians....as the story continues to unfold I suggest we will be shocked once we get into Mariupol and Kherson by the destruction and mayhem....in a "modern world"...
