Zoo in Kyiv still stands!
The zoo in Kyiv it's still beautiful & it still stands!
Some of the animals including lions, tigers and wild cats have been rehomed to zoos in Poland but this is just not going to be possible for many species.
The current situation in Ukraine is having a drastic effect on the nation’s zoos, just as WWII did at London Zoo. Right now, the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquaria (WAZA) are working to support the Ukrainian zoos as much as they can.
There are three large zoos, Nikolaev Zoo, Kyiv Zoological Park and Kharkiv Zoo, in cities currently under attack by the Russian military, which have talked about how they are currently coping. Outsiders might think the best thing to do would be to evacuate the animals into a safer environment away from the war zone. But this is an incredibly risky endeavour. In a tense and difficult environment animals may be fearful of the sounds around them. Loading highly stressed animals into crates and transporting them across noisy and complicated conflict zones could cause severe illness or death, quite apart from the danger of being hit by gunfire.

Ukrainian civilian deaths continue to rise
After long battles and great resistance and losing almost half of tour soldiers due to injury and death the Russian Troops had taken control. For more than 3 weeks the Ukrainian authorities did not control the north-west region.
When the Russian troops left and the Ukrainian army entered the cities, the world could see the horrors. Horrors not witnessed on Earth for 80 years. Mass graves with hundreds of corpses. Dead civilians, shot with bags over their heads and with hands tied behind their backs. Dead children under the rubble of civilian high-rise buildings. The killers had tortured and murdered entire families. Women were covered with ashes, raped and dumped like garbage.
Ukrainian soldiers cried and asked for forgiveness, guilty it took them so long to make their way back to help. No matter how much we talk about the sick Putin, it was not he who directly raped women and shot at homes from tanks. Putin himself did not drop bombs on children's hospitals or on the maternity ward and bomb shelters full of innocent civilians. It was done by Russian Soldiers.

Yahidne Residents kept in basement by Russian Soldiers
⚡️ as reported by flash: More than 300 civilian Ukrainians were kept by Russian soldiers in a basement in Yahidne (Ivanovo community, Chernihiv region) during a month - the head of Chernihiv RMA Viacheslav Chaus informed.
“Here they got sick and died. Here the alive were next to the dead. Hunger. Thirst. Fear. Pain. Despair. Toilet on a bucket. Suffocation,” Chaus posted.
Russians don't believe it!
"We sent our relatives in Russia photos [of the damage] but they didn't believe it," she said.
"When we called them, they said those were fakes. According to them, the Russians came to liberate us.
